Can you please email me more info on how to top them and make them like yours thanks ....
Hi Jake,
Check out the Topping video in this video course if you haven't already. Here is a little more information on my personal topping strategy:
-When the plant reaches it's 5th node, I top the plant down to its 3rd node.
-I then remove the growth at the first node
-I do LST to widen the plant and then wait about 7-14 days. I typically adjust the ties I use to LST every 2-3 days.
-Once the 4 branches have reached their 2nd node, I top all 4 branches again. This will result in 8 branches.
-I then continue to do LST and let the plant grow. I will either top again to create 16 branches or I wait until the plant has reached half the size I want it to be when finished. When it reaches that point, I change the light cycle to 12-12 and then for the next 3 weeks the plant stretches.
-While the plant is stretching, I'm still adjusting the ties I use for LST in order to shape the plant. Sometimes during this phase I'm adjusting the ties daily. My goal is for the plant to have an even canopy.
Since sativa strains grow taller and indicia strains are more squat, I typically top to 8 or 16 branches for sativa strains and I top to no more than 8 branches for indica strains.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Great info on here Mr. Grow It! I am about to top my plants and perform LST per instruction on your video. I started my plants under a small T5 light due to budget, with unfavorably low humidity (New England winter) and forced hot air. So because of this my plants are smaller for there age (5 weeks today 11/20/18) and have taken a while to develop the 5th node. I have since moved them under a 315w sun systems LEC light, which the plants have loved. However I’ve transplanted to 2 gallon pots already, and the roots are beginning to show through the drain holes. I am concerned if I transplant into a 5 or 7 gallon pot and top/lst that they will be in veg for an eternity. Just curious what your thoughts are on this matter. Thank you so much again for all this very useful information!
Sorry Mark for not seeing this post until now. In the future, you could potentially transplant directly into 5 or 7 gallon containers. You can also start the topping/LST process earlier than when they are in their final grow pot. Although, it may be a pain to do LST while they are in 2-gallon container, then remove all the LST to transplant into a larger container, then re-do the LST in the new container. Totally your choice though. Feel free to email me for faster responses.
